David Kowalsky, Psy.D., Certified Sexologist
David is a graduate of Bridgewater University’s Doctor of Science in Therapy program and is a Certified Sexologist by the American College of Sexologists International. He has lectured, been published and spearheaded numerous sex positive initiatives since 2004. He has done clinical work with individuals involving domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking and harassment. In 2008 David was recognized by Rolling Stone Magazine as one of the most progressive males in the evolution of female needs within the adult novelty industry.
In addition to his doctorate, David has received additional training in relational trauma counseling and sex therapy. His passion is for anyone struggling to feel whole and fulfilled in their lives, especially those concerned with personal intimacy and relationship issues. He works with individuals, couples, and non-traditional relationship structures. His research on sexual consent, sexual education, and sexual satisfaction has been presented at multiple international and national conferences. David is a member of the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT).
David believes that we all have a drive for connection, but that connection can be intimidating and scary. He believes that the fear of vulnerability and the disconnection that comes from that fear is often a source of pain in our lives. David honors this by working hard to create a safe space and a solid relationship with clients in order to enable the best environment for working through one of life’s most difficult personal hardships together.
